Linda Atamian

(O-G, Structured Literacy)

Linda Atamian provides structured literacy instruction aligned with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners & Educators (AOGPE) & International Dyslexia Association (IDA). She received a BA in elementary education & social sciences (1974) and an MA in Reading (1978). She is certified in RI: Professional Reading Specialist/Consultant (PK-12) & Professional Teacher of Elementary Grades. Certified by AOGPE as an ACCREDITED Fellow and by IDA as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, she has extensive experience working with students from preschool through college. Since 1987, she has trained hundreds of teachers in Orton-Gillingham and Multisensory Instruction in public, charter, and independent schools. She served as a Brown University mentor teacher for many years and taught January sessions at Salve Regina University. Her Associate level course is eligible for 3-6 graduate level credits through URI.
