Rhode Island Society of Technology Educators (RISTE) is a nonprofit organization that serves educators interested in the use of technology in education. RISTE is the Rhode Island affiliate of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).RISTE serves more than 792 education stakeholders throughout the state of Rhode Island through individual and organizational membership, training, and support services. Our primary professional learning focus is training educators, coaches, technology directors, principals, support staff, and teaching assistants on using technology to enhance the learning experience for all students.

Our training sessions are directly linked to the ISTE Standards for students, teachers, coaches, and administrators, which support all subject areas, and focus on personalized learning, and student centered instruction. RISTE's professional learning empowers teachers, schools and districts to create authentic, digital-age learning experiences by unpacking and implementing the ISTE Standards for Students, by providing educators with a digital learning framework that can be immediately implemented in classrooms. All of our trainers are K-12 classroom educators, or technology coaches in the field with extensive adult facilitation experience. Trainers are trained in providing professional development through organizations and programs such as FUSE (Highlander), Google Certified Trainers, and Induction Coaches (New Teacher Center).
